A fortnight ago, my 9 month old PC started going ‘wrong’, failing to load properly, crashing intermittently, telling me my hard drive was ‘not accessible’ etc.. I am sufficiently knowledge able to be really dangerous when things do go wrong so, after getting to the final stage – your hard drive is not there (What – ???!!! – Agh!) – I called Profega from their advert in our Kennington Chronicle. The following day, Ged came in and within an hour had the computer back into working order – I hadn’t demolished it after all. Better still, he fixed the WiFi (who would have thought the VM Super Hub needed MORE passwords?) and then got my new smartphone to link properly, saving my limited 500MB/month allowance some 90% of 3G access time when downloading and installing various apps. Marvellous. Highly recommended, fast, competent, got the repair done quickly and not that expensive. Many thanks Ged.
What was it all my friends said? “Mea culpa” – I am guilty – Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Roj in Kennington. (September 2012).

Great Results, Personable, Expert. Gerard helped navigate my transition from MS Office Live to Office 365; in doing so, he managed the process, ensured I understood the steps and made sure that the new system was in place and stable. He was professional, courteous and effective throughout. John, Byfield. (June 2012)
I decided to replace my computer equipment and booked an initial appointment with Gerard, whose contact details I had found in the Cumnor Parish News. Gerard asked me what I used my old computer for and what improvements I was expecting from its replacement. The questions Gerard asked helped me to get clear in my mind exactly what I needed. He followed our discussion up with an email containing links to various products. This was very helpful and allowed me to explore the options.
When I had provisionally decided what to buy, Gerard and I met at PC World where we looked at various computers which met my requirements to ensure that I was happy with my choice.
Having made my purchases, Gerard and I went to my home where he set everything up whilst patiently fielding my numerous questions. Although I had been feeling a bit apprehensive about having new equipment and software, by the time it was all set up I felt confident that I would soon become accustomed to the changes.
In the past I have found IT experts to rather intimidating, using a lot of jargon and assuming they know what’s best for the customer. Gerard is not at all like this. He put me at my ease as soon as we met because his questions about my computing needs were expressed in terms I could understand. The service Gerard provided was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of a computer expert. Linda, Botley. (December 2011).

After I bought my laptop I realised I should need some instruction. I went to the City Library for some information, and was given one of Gerard’s leaflets. I rang him up, and we arranged for some home tuition. Gerard proved to be a kind, patient, and very encouraging tutor. I have enjoyed my lessons, which have given me a good sound start, and I know that I can call on him to sort out any difficulties I may have in the future. I can heartily recommend Gerard to other beginners, especially to older ones like myself. They will find him a sympathetic and very helpful teacher.

The service was fast, efficient and excellent! Gerard was more than helpful and also very patient explaining things where my knowledge was limited. He was very approachable and I was absolutely happy with the service he provided and will undoubtedly use him for any computer problems in the future. Clare, Cumnor (December 2010).
When my internet access disappeared & my IP confirmed that there was no line fault in this area, I suspected a defective router & having met Ged earlier on a callout at a friend’s house, I put in a call to him. He quickly confirmed the router was the culprit, & despite resets & firmware upgrades was unable to rescucitate it. His solution was to loan me a router to enable me to procure one online but later a phone call from him advised that PC World had them in stock at an Amazon price level. What service. Would thoroughly recommend Profega to anyone – excellent service at good prices. JT, Marcham. (June 2010).
I wanted to speed up the operation of my 5+ year old HP desktop and share files with a laptop over home WIFI. The advice and service from Profega/Gerard was friendly, efficient, effective and good value for money. Rogan, Cumnor. (May 2010).
Ged did a fantastic job in successfully rescuing all our data and emails when the PC crashed, he was flexible and even came round on a Saturday afternoon to get our email up and running again. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others, great value too. Andrew, Cumnor Hill. (March 2010).
Thank you so much for help last night. I now feel I am back in the land of the living after being without email and internet for so long. If only I had contacted you sooner !! I will certainly highly recommend you to all my friends. Mrs. Phillips, North Hinksey. (March 2010).
What a relief to find someone who will answer your calls promptly, spend time on the phone offering support, visit your home if necessary even on a saturday afternoon with little notice and whose skill and determination results in a repaired computer/printer .Ged would not let the glitch defeat him! Mrs. Rea, Witney. (Feb 2010).
When my hitherto reliable laptop broke down, help was needed. I discovered Profega’s website with the encouraging testimonials from existing customers and decided to give it a try. The service I received was exactly as experienced by the other customers: quick and punctual, reliable and efficient, friendly and competitively priced. I shall certainly use Profega’s services again and recommend them to friends and colleagues. Brigitte, Oxford. (Feb 2010).
Ged set up our network sharing two laptop computers wih a printer, our external network hard drive, covering Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. We were extremely pleased with how quickly Ged understood our requirements and how he explained things in a way that we could easily understand. Monica, North Hinksey. (Jan 2010).
I thought I had serious problems when my computer crashed unexpectedly having become infected with a virus. I contacted Ged at Profega and he responded immediatly. The service rendered I found to be exceptional, and at a very competetive price. Highly reccommended. Tony Stallard, Eynsham. (Jan 2010).
Thank you for the computer lesson. As a novice I found it informative and learnt a lot. I would recommend to anyone who like myself, are fairly new to computing, or need more specific help to use your services. I am sure to be in touch with you shortly for more lessons. Christine, Oxford. (2009).
I’m very happy with the service provided; we had lost connection with our internet for over a week and were up & running again in just one short visit. Simon, North Hinksey. (2009).
